1. Does the ESM™ replace my existing controls?

No. The ESM™ is installed in series with and after the existing control device. The ESM™ requires the presence of a primary control device. The existing control remains the primary controller for the plant with the ESM™ optimizing its performance.

2. Will the ESM™ effect product or case temperatures?

No. The ESM™ will maintain average suction conditions equal to those of the existing control device. There will be NO effect to product / case temperatures.

3. Does the ESM™ provide any "Soft" benefits?

Yes. In addition to the energy savings provided the ESM™ will:
Reduce compressor run hours.
Reduce compressor starts.
Balance compressor run hours.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

4. Will the ESM™ affect my compressor warranty?

No. The ESM™ will tend to reduce compressor cycling. The ESM™ interfaces after all protection controls. 25,000 ESM's™ have been installed worldwide without affecting warranty. Smartcool can provide correspondence from many major compressor manufacturers indicating that the ESM™ will not affect warranty.

5. Once installed how can we guarantee the ESM's™ continued operation and therefore gain maximum benefit?

Every ESM™ sold comes with a standard one year product warranty. Extended support and warranty is available.
