LNC - Network Controller

The Network Controller (LNC) contains the Central Processor Unit that provides control for a maximum of eight channels via the attached SIM or IIM modules. The LNC controls the switching and communication functions of the local network, consisting of one LNC and at least one SIM or one IIM.

The LNC has three analog and two external digital inputs that can be configured for temperature or suction pressure measurement. The values of these two inputs are used with the number of compressors and amount of run time to determine the degree of compressor optimization that can be achieved by the ESM™.

The Communication Center Software is available with the ESM™. The software can be used to remotely monitor the operation of any ESM™ installation either through PC, LAN, or modem connection.

As many as 10 LNCs at an installation can be interconnected through an RS485 communication link to produce a Global Network. By connecting the LNCs only one connection to the external network is required for each group of 10 LNC's.

Once connected, operational data such as savings settings, saving priorities, set up information as well as logging data for each LNC on the network can be accessed, monitored, collected and amended via modem from anywhere in the world.
