Customer Picture
“Using smarter technologies, more brains and less money to wring more work from less delivered energy… is the largest, cheapest, safest, cleanest, fastest, most diverse, least visible, least understood and most neglected way to provide energy services.”

Start Saving Energy

Smartcool and its distributors follow 6 steps to achieving greater energy efficiency for your facility:

1. Initial Contact

Choose a distributor in your area, or contact Smartcool directly to begin.

2. Energy Survey

We will ask you to complete a general survey to get a better understanding of your facility and cooling systems.  Provided the Energy Survey shows your facility would be a good match for Smartcool technology, we will then schedule an Energy Audit. Request your copy of the Energy Survey here.

3. Energy Audit

There is no fee for an Energy Audit. A Smartcool representative will meet with your designated representative, preferably an employee with in depth knowledge of your operations and equipment. If you are located outside of our normal service areas, we can conduct the Energy Audit remotely with the help of your on-site HVAC engineer or other qualified personnel. If necessary, the field representative will also make a checklist of possible repairs or maintenance problems that should be remedied before Smartcool equipment can be installed. If your system is not operating correctly, Smartcool technology will not be able to maximize savings for your facility.

4. Energy Savings Proposal

We will provide you with a Proposal that summarizes the information we have gathered from you and defines the scope of a potential Smartcool installation at your facility.  The Proposal includes project price, terms, estimated energy and financial savings, estimated environmental benefits, and any potential rebate available for your project.

5. Smartcool Installation

Once you have accepted the Proposal, the installation will be scheduled. All work will be performed by Smartcool approved contractors or employees with considerable experience in the field. The installation will be done according to all applicable codes, regulations, and facility-specific safety and operational requirements. All Smartcool contractors have appropriate worker's compensation and general liability insurance coverage.  Upon completion of the installation, you will begin to see immediate energy savings and related financial benefits.

Smartcool has undergone significant Third Party Testing, proving that the technology is reliable.  However, if you wish to have the installation tested, Monitoring and Verification is available from Smartcool upon request for an additional fee. At the completion of an M&V period (usually two weeks), Smartcool will provide you with a Savings Report outlining the performance of Smartcool equipment during the test period.

6. Ongoing Customer Support

Once a Smartcool installation has been completed a User Manual is left at the site in order to assist with trouble shooting if necessary. Additionally, Customer Service & Support is available to you via telephone or e-mail.
