Inside Sales Administrator

Location: Vancouver, BC

Job Summary

Join an exciting “green” technology company in the burgeoning energy efficiency market. This dynamic position will be responsible for a range of the sales and marketing activities including daily support of Smartcool’s sales team and our channel partners, the development and implementation of sales procedures, marketing materials, web content and other supporting activities.  Working out of the head office for an international company, the successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively with customers and staff around the world. 

Responsibilities

Sales support

  • Work with sales team to prepare estimates, proposals, presentations and reports.
  • Compile data from field tests for use in reports. Very strong Excel skills required.
  • Maintain and improve the existing collection of case studies, templates, forms, presentations and other tools used to support sales efforts.
  • Develop new tools to enhance the support structure and reference materials for staff and independent distributors.
  • Provide direct customer service and support as needed.
  • Maintain and continue to develop the company’s document library on the internal business portal.
  • Perform a variety of basic office administration tasks.

Marketing

  • Assist with customizing marketing materials for independent distributors.
  • Identify potential publications, tradeshows and other channels for marketing efforts.
  • Maintain database of potential and existing industry memberships and organizations.
  • Assist with the development of marketing strategy and materials.

Research

  • Perform research as necessary on a wide range of topics including various markets, industries, competitors, utilities and other areas of interest to the company.
  • Provide clear and concise briefings on research findings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail
  • Advanced writing and editorial skills
  • Strong speaking and presentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan strategically, prioritize and set goals

Beneficial Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Navision and Sharepoint software.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Joomla and SEO concepts.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Standard Creative Suite 3 which includes: Adobe Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
